It’s our end semester Parent-Teacher Meeting and Art Exhibition day! It has been a very busy morning for both our parents and teachers at Lorna Whiston Preschool!
At Lorna Whiston Preschool, we believe that face-to-face communication gives teachers the opportunity to further build on the trust that parents have in us. By strengthening this support system, we are able to keep with our holistic approach to ensure the overall well-being of the children under our care.
During the sessions, observations of our children’s classroom behaviors and learning progress are shared. Their strengths are identified and any issues that need support and attention are discussed.
Our Art Exhibition on the day provides our parents with an overview of the different fun and exciting activities our children have been engaged in since the beginning of the school term.
Short descriptions of the motivations and learning objectives behind these activities are provided to give our parents a better understanding of our curriculum.
As parents move along the exhibit, they see a showcase of artwork across the different levels too. This gives our parents a beautiful testament of how learning and exposures are paced for our children throughout the 5 years at our preschool.
It was a fruitful PTM and we are looking forward to the next one!
